FAQ
Q: Are there Designated Driver Tickets at a reduced price?
A: No. There is a common misconception that the ticket price is dependent upon alcohol consumption, and therefore if one chooses to abstain for personal reasons or in order to drive, one should also receive a discount. The admission price is an all-in deal, and it is the individual’s decision to determine what elements of the Ithaca Brew Fest he or she enjoys and what elements he or she avoids.
The Brew Fest is a fun experience that offers great musical entertainment, tasty gourmet food and beverage, beautiful scenery, and an exciting celebration to mark the end of Summer in Ithaca. However, the choice to partake in sampling the craft beers is entirely up to the attending individual.
If you are carpooling and you have a DD, we encourage all people riding in the car chip in for the DD’s ticket. If three people ride with a DD, that is approximately $11.50 per person you have all contributed toward getting home safely – a small investment toward your health. An individual will easily spend more than this on a one-way taxi fare. We also work with TCAT – our local transit service to set up free rides to anyone coming and going from Brew Fest. By showing your ticket on the way there, and your wristband on the way back, you can ride for FREE to and from downtown Ithaca. Check out our TRANSPORTATION page to find the bus route, and other transportation options available.
Q: Do you offer any beers or beverages that are gluten-free at Brew Fest?
A: While we don’t have any breweries attending that specifically brew gluten-free beers, we do have some options available for gluten-free Brew Fest attendees. Bellwether Hard Cider, McKenzie’s Hard Cider, and Woodchuck Draft Cider will be offering a variety of hard ciders that do not contain gluten.
Q: Can we bring our child(ren) with us?
A: No. This event is 21 and over only. This is a very strict policy enforced by the State Liquor Authority. It is not up to us. Please set up your childcare in advance.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: No. Only certified seeing eye-dogs accompanying their master and police canines are allowed on Brew Fest grounds.
Q: Can I leave Brew Fest and come back?
A: No. Once you leave, there is no re-entry.
Q: Does my General Admission ticket include food?
A: No. There are a number of local gourmet food vendors offering up a selection of delicious food that is also reasonably priced. VIP tickets do include access to the VIP tent where Wegmans will be catering up a gourmet spread starting at 2:00PM and then ongoing throughout the day.
Q: Where is Will Call?
A: If you purchased your tickets online over 10 days in advance, you have the option to have your tickets mailed to you. After 10 days they are only available at Will Call. Will Call is at the State Theater Box Office in Ithaca, NY up until the box office closes on Friday. On Saturday, Will Call will move to the ticket entrance at Stewart Park.
It is encouraged to pick up your tickets at the State Theater in advance because the Tickets in Hand lines move a lot faster than the Will Call line on Saturday.
